Creativity Exercise

Visualize a ship.

What sort of ship is it? A Viking long boat? A yacht? A three masted schooner? A trading vessel, man of war, pirate ship? What is the time period? Are you in the brig or Captain's cabin or crow's nest? What are the conditions around you and on the ship? What is your sex? Where are you going and how long will it take? Who is with you? What is the weather?

Using your preferred medium, create something from this exercise (dance, sculpt, draw, paint, write a scene, embroider a sail, how about ship-shaped cookies?)
