Free Your Artist

The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves

—Carl Jung

Creativity Exercise - Play

What do you want to play with today? Crayons? Cookie dough? Autumn leaves? Computer graphics? The dog/cat? Corn husks? Yarn? Board game? Shadowbox?

MAKE TIME/TAKE TIME to go play with whatever appeals to you today. Let your mind simply enjoy life - enjoy the simple in life…If the muse whispers in your ear while you're playing when you're done with the play, see if you've created something lasting - or something you can explore later.

Affirmation

As I play and let my mind, body, and spirit enjoy, I will receive new inspiration.
